From humble backyard beginnings to packed-out dance floors, Disco Chips has grown into something truly special – and it’s all thanks to the incredible energy, support, and love from our community.
Our mission has always been simple: to bring people together through the power of nostalgic music in familiar, local spaces. We’re all about creating feel-good moments at suburban venues, making it easier (and more affordable) for people to dance, connect, and let loose — no need for an expensive night out in the city.
From Christmas parties and weddings to breweries, bars, and even the Brisbane Convention Centre for the Brisbane Lions AFLW’s Awards Night — it’s been a big year! Whether it’s a community event, a music festival, a daytime session, or a late-night dance floor, we’ve been lucky to share some unforgettable moments with you.
No matter the setting, it’s all about bringing good people together with great music.
Here’s a little look back at some of the moments, memories, and fun we’ve created together over the past year.
Our very first event set the tone for everything that’s followed. Teaming up with Better Beer, we brought together DJs from across Brisbane to throw a day party full of music, sunshine, and a whole lot of fun.
We took over the green with lawn games, a chipping comp (with a Better Beer golf bag up for grabs!), and a carefully curated soundtrack of house and disco vibes to keep the energy up from start to finish. It was laid-back, welcoming, and full of good people – exactly what Disco Chips is all about.
We teamed up with Burleigh Brewing to throw an epic outdoor day party packed with good vibes and great people. There were lawn games, a chipping comp, and an all-day DJ lineup featuring our extended Disco Chips crew. With Burleigh on board supplying prizes, promo, and perfect pours, the vibe was high from the first track to the final tune.

From celebrity appearances to chipping comps, food trucks, and a high-energy crowd, Blitz Golf was one for the books. We kept the vibes fun and funky with a mix of disco classics and crowd-pleasers all afternoon, as fans followed the action across the course.

We had so much fun bringing our style to HOPMAYNIA! at Slipstream Brewing Company. Tasty food, the best beer and cocktails, and such a warm, family-friendly vibe. We set the scene with a mix of jazzy vibes and classic remixes to keep people moving and grooving throughout the afternoon.
After the showbags, monster trucks, and fireworks, we kept the energy alive at the Ipswich Show afterparty. We spun a fun, family-friendly mix of funky throwbacks and feel-good dance tunes.
We brought the Disco Chips flavour to the Sunny Coast, helping Slipstream Brewing celebrate their 8th birthday with free pinball, killer beers, and feel-good tunes from 5–9pm.
We recently launched our flagship event and passion project – Boogie Beats – which brings disco to the suburbs with sparkle, mirror balls and soul. We transformed the Jindalee Golf Club into a shimmering dance floor and gave our community a reason to dress up and let loose.
We’re just getting warmed up.
The next edition of Boogie Beats: Suburban Disco is just around the corner – expect new decor, bigger sound, and even more dance floor magic.
